They have infested the new High Stakes Poker, which is not worth watching anymore. You don't learn from watching crap players. If you want to watch whales, watch Whale Wars on Animal Planet.

I never thought it was good in the first place and always thought the t.v. program paid them to play so it is not like they even wasting their own money.

High Stakes Poker is for entertainment purposes IMO.

A show place for the Pros.

A TV show.

Dont really care for any poker show that just shows edited footage the only one that i watch and think is worthwhile is poker after dark ...just becuase you get to see the whol e game , not just bits and peices some editor thinks you should see.

PAD is great because of the table chat. It has gotten better with since they've added more cash games.

I have to disagree with it being worse with amateurs there. There usually is one or two there and that's normal. That's how the pros make their money and it helps a lot to learn how to play against bad players as well as good. Also, it's a whole lot better with amateurs that run it once as opposed to pros that shove with their drawing hands and then want to deal it four times.

stopped watching poker on tv, I figure if I have time to watch poker then I have time to play poker.

But also, don't watch Whale Wars either, those misguided granola-smokers are nothing but pirates and after a few shows you'll find yourself rooting for the japanese whalers. On a side note, I think Japan has suspended their whaling activity, not sure if the lunatic sea shepards had anything to do with it.

If you want a good show to watch on animal planet watch Taking on Tyson. The show will inspire you... to build a pigeon coop.
